About Me:
Female, married, 2 grown children, 1 grandchild, early 50's, native Vermonter, varied background in law, real estate, children's aid, college work, retail, financial aid, and presently the food industry. Love to read, cook, walk/hike, garden (with an emphasis on trees and perennials), take drives in the country, hunt for books (Archer Mayor, P. D. James, Miss Read, Anne LaBastille, Tony Hillerman, Helen Hoover, John Dunning, Steve Hamilton, Margaret Coel, Donna Leon, Jan Karon, Edwin Way Teale, Hal Borland, and many, many more!) in any bookstore I might come across (yard sales too!), watch old movies (TCM is fabulous) and British comedies (As Time Goes By is my favorite - along with Are You Being Served?, Keeping Up Appearances, To The Manor Born, Waiting On God, and The Thin Blue Line), listen to music - especially artists like Frank Sinatra and company, and modern-day Native American music (Bill Miller, Joanne Shenendoah, Carlos Nakai, et al), and Americana (Hal Ketchum, Lee Roy Parnell), Blues (Coco Montoya) and just about anything that sounds good and fits my mood at the moment, and I love to travel - especially in Canada (Quebec City is special to me), The 1,000 Islands, The Adirondacks, Northampton, MA, Saratoga Springs, NY, Boston (to see Red Sox games!), Wells Beach, ME in the OFF season, Portsmouth, NH, Newburyport, MA (The Grog House!), and more...and I am always open to suggestions on how to live the second half of my life just as well as and in different ways than I did the first half!
