I used to own a second hand independent book shop in Sydney, Australia so I love the idea of this site.

There is nothing like being part of a local community. We all knew each other's names and children's names and even dog's names. There were always hugs.

When we had a good day we celebrated. When we had a bad day we supported each other.

We had charity events and evenings and supported the local schools, charities and nursery homes.

I love books and reading. I read at least 6 books a week. I do tend to stay out of shopping centres and buy from local shops because I knew what it felt like. I also love chatting to shop owners and listening to their stories. It gives you a send of belonging which I am looking for in the world and it is a kindness rather than spending in a massive book shop.

I live in Sydney and I read all the time. I love the beach, making friends, meeting people and talking to people. I love children and animals. I also love blogging and finding out new information.
