About Me:

Mennonite girl from Kansas moves to Washington, DC, and ends up dreaming of raising chickens and running a bed and breakfast in a small community--in due time. Ironically, she loves her job as assistant editor for the children's book department at The Global Fund for Children, a grantmaking non-profit in the District.

hi

Kim Can hi elise..I just joined and am in los Angeles. Your job sounds interesting to me as I have just formed my own publishing co. called greenflower press. Under that name I have just published a children's story called "tumbles the clown" Perhaps you might take a look at it on greenflowerpress.com... I am looking for feedback and would send you a copy if that would interest you...maybe you could tell me what some of your favorite children's books are that are out there now.... kim

Hi Elise from a fellow Mennonite & bookstore owner!

Hi Elise,

I saw you on the site and when I saw "Goshen Indiana" and your Kansas address...Mennonite!

I am an adult convert to the Mennonite Church - in my early 20s I joined Doylestown M. Church north of Philadelphia. I've been in "exile" from areas with M. churches, but now am a member of Mt. Zion Mennonite in Boonsboro, MD, which is west of Frederick, about 90 minutes from D.C.

My husband & I moved to Shepherdstown in the early 90s and opened Four Seasons Books. Hope you can come visit sometime!

Ruth
