My most recent book is SHANGHAIED. It's the fourth in the Ray Sharp series of detective thrillers, set in Asia and based on stories I covered, or was familiar with, during the years I worked as a journalist in the region. The first three books in the series were THE LIVING ROOM OF THE DEAD, GRAVE IMPORTS and FLIGHT OF THE HORNBILL.

I'm also the author of WRONG SIDE OF THE WALL, the true crime / sports biography of Ralph "Blackie" Schwamb, the greatest prison baseball player of all time.

Over the many years I worked as a journalist, I worked all over Asia, in Europe, in West Africa and all over the U.S. covering topics ranging from politics to sports, economics to sex, drugs and rock & roll, and pretty much anything else you can think of both as a writer and a photographer. I once wrote an advice to the lovelorn column for a bilingual Chinese and English fashion magazine.
