I am the publisher of Flying Pen Press, a small but ambitious publishing house in Denver, Colorado.

We publish fiction in most all genres, and we are strong in Science Fiction.

In nonfiction, we will publish a wide variety of books. We have imprints for specific subject areas:

Game Day: Game Books and books about games.

Flying Piggybank Press: Business, finance and career topics.

Traveling Pen Press: Travelogues.

Flying Pen Press Aviation: Aviation, including technical, professional, how-to, flight guides, travelogues, and fiction.

Flying Pen Press Travel Guides: Travel guides for the real traveler.

We also have some imprints for regional titles:

Flying Pen Press Colorado: Colorado-related books.

Flying Pen Press Southwest: Books related to the Southwest US.

Flying Pen Press Rocky Mountain West: Books for the Rocky Mountain region.

Flying Pen Press Park Trek: Books about national parks and historic places.

Finally, we have an imprint that is close to my heart:

The Press for Humanitarian Causes: Giving a voice to those in the developing world who need one, and for the volunteers who assist them. All profits from the sale of books from The Press for Humanitarian Causes go to helping the people covered in the book and the humanitarian organizations that support them.

Flying Pen Press has a very strict philosophy that I insist upon: 1. Give authors the greatest of respect, for which they deserve. 2. Publish only high quality books. 3. Use technology to deliver books better and faster to the public. 4. Give bookstores the terms and quality they require, especially independent bookstores. 5. Give back to the community and exercise the freedom of the press with the greatest of responsibility to those who need it most.

Flying Pen Press is open to submissions from writers, and we especially like to hear from our friends in the independent bookstore world. Our discount schedule is more than fair, and our returns policy is simple. We are happy to work with bookstores to find just the right titles from our catalog, and our authors are eager to make appearances and talk shop.
