By day I'm recently the Creative Director at Symbiosis Games. I've been designing games -- mostly of the online and MMO type -- since about 1999, which is becoming an appallingly long time. I write fantasy and science fiction with occasional forays into literary fiction and horror; my short fiction and poetry have appeared in Lone Star Stories, Electric Velocipede, and elsewhere; I have work forthcoming in Asimov's and Farrago's Wainscot, among others. My nonfiction kicks around Escapist Magazine periodically, and I recently co-edited a collection of essays called _Settlers of the New Virtual Worlds_ (www.bettereula.com for details). I will probably forget to update this for a long time. I try to support local businesses wherever I go. I recently (9/08) relocated from upstate New York back to the LA area; I'm originally from San Diego.
