About Me:
I am a jobless college graduate who is back in the system earning a teaching credential - we will see how that goes. I am an avid reader, I will read anything I can get my grubby little hands on. I prefer to own my books and not rent them, but I love the library. I fear the thought of other people reading, handling, sitting in the bathroom and doing God knows what to a book that is sitting on my bed, but as I said, I am a jobless college student and times are tough. I make up for the book habit in other ways: I'm all about DIY; however, I only purchase my clothes from retailers. I'm all about the story and it's characters. To that end, I'm all about getting books from a store where the sales associates are not associates but fellow readers who know their books not just their inventory.
I miss Book Soup in Orange County.
I am hopelessly dedicated to the literacy cause: you know, the one no one really talks about because it's embarrassing to admit that no one really reads anymore. Other than that, I live my life relatively quiet-like. I enjoy the words and wisdom of Arundhati Roy and Paulo Coelho, the deep and sensible humor of Jonathan Safran Foer, and the unforgettable memories I have shared with Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss.
I hope that my finds and contributions to Indiebound are sustainable and worthy of the cause. And I hope that the cause is a successful one because everyone needs a great bookstore!
