I lived a full and wonderful life without doing anything extraordinary, Other than my two grown daughters. I inherited my love of books and reading from my parents. I thought that all families had a library in their home. I have been building mine seriously for the past 30 years. The knowledge that my daughters will continue to add to the library fills me with promise for tomorrow. I am a Navy brat. My father was an MSC officer -- Medical Service Corps, which meant I moved around ALOT! I love reading books that were owned by someone before me. I love to read the notes that they wrote in the margins and that I will add to as well. I miss sitting around a table and discussing or perhaps even arguing about literature and poetry and painting!! A sort of pseudo-Salon. No, I am no Gertrude Stein under any circumstances! : ). I am re-reading old classics that I read in college. I have time to read every single line this time without a professor breathing down my neck! I write poetry and essays and short stories and articles for publication. I'm just happy being me. And making new friends all the time!
