About the Author

Andrew Wingfield grew up in northern California and now lives in Alexandria, Virginia. He is on the faculty of New Century College, the integrative studies program at George Mason University. He writes and teaches to better understand how people and places shape each other. His work has appeared in Wild Earth, The Antioch Review, Terrain, ISLE, and other magazines.
