About the Author

Nayera Salam has a Master's degree in Education from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, and more than thirty years teaching experience. She is now retired and lives in Atlanta with her husband. She has two children and is the proud grandmother of two granddaughters. Bina Damodar is a Sacramento-based illustrator and founder of BinaZen. She began her career in art by hobby as an Indian-style henna artist. She later transitioned into the healthcare industry, but that did not stop her love of art. Inspired by traditional henna designs and the "Zentangle"® method of pattern drawing, she started turning her everyday doodles into works of art under her own trademark BinaZen.
