About the Author

Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) was an English author who wrote novels, poetry, and short stories. Born in India, he and was brought to England when he was five years old. One of the best-loved authors of his time, he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907, and his works include The Jungle Book, Kim, and the Just So Stories.
