About the Author

Julia Anderson provides a voice for her great-grandmother, Christina, to tell her story. Julia felt compelled to tell the story of her family, after learning of some of the struggles and hardships her ancestors went through and experiencing some of her own. Through her own struggles as a mother Julia became more aware of her great-grandmother's presence. She also wanted the world to be aware of the challenges that people with disabilities face, and see that there is triumph even in the face of great adversity. Anna is a developmentally challenged young woman who lives with her family near Seattle, Washington. This is Julia's first book - she is at work on her next.
