About the Author

Donna M. Quick grew up in a small town in upstate New York located near Lake Ontario and has been writing since she was a child of four when she squiggled crayon lines onto brown-paper, grocery bags and then demanded that her older brother read her wonderful story back to her. As the youngest child of a very large family, there is always material to pull from dozens of friends and relatives and then mix it up to make grand family dramas. Donna earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management and Economics through SUNY Empire State College, and then honed her writing skills while earning a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from National University. Donna loves to read, especially Nicholas Sparks, Julie Garwood, Anne Lamott, William P. Young, and Jodi Piccoult. It is often through the words of other writers that birth is given to creativity and the understanding that a story does not need detailed sex, vulgarity, or explicit violence to be good. Donna's first book, Hallowed Illusions, is also about family drama and how people have tendencies to treat people badly who are different than they are, oftentimes ignoring their own shortcomings. Donna is ecstatic to be promoting Stolen Sunrise, and is currently working on her next book while developing characters and outlines for future books. Donna currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her faithful dog, Lady, and enjoys time with family and friends, live jazz-band music, hiking, the sun, and every possible moment giving praise to God.
