About the Author
James Anderson Foster is an award-winning audiobook narrator who has recorded titles in nearly every genre. Praised for his ability to sound exactly like the voice you were imagining in your head, he has won or been nominated for every major award in the audiobook industry and was one of those kids who actually lettered in drama way back in high school. Born and raised on the west coast, he lives in the Midwest but still considers Oregon home.
David Frum is a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and a former special assistant and speechwriter to President George W. Bush. He is a regular commentator on American Public Radio's Marketplace and writes the popular David Frum's Diary for National Review. Frum is the author or coauthor of a number of books, including The Right Man: The Surprise Presidency of George W. Bush, How We Got Here, and America's Party: Rebuilding a Republican Majority. He lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and three children.
Reviews

Frum documents President Trump's 'lies, obfuscations, and flagrant disregard for the traditional limits placed on the office of the presidency.' He aims to inform readers of the dangers of illiberalism on the horizon.

-- "Entertainment Weekly"

All but the most determined Trump enthusiasts should feel pin pricks of recognition and...a queasy discomfort.

-- "New York Times"

The most important new book about the dangers of Donald Trump's presidency.

-- "San Francisco Chronicle"

Frum uses his well-honed writing skills to make his points...For those who oppose Trumpism, this is a clarion call.

-- "Booklist"

Evenhanded, ideologically consistent, and guaranteed to generate a slew of angry tweets should a copy land at the White House.

-- "Kirkus Reviews"

An essential book for a time when the pillars and norms of American Democracy are under threat from the leaders pledged to preserve it.

-- "Stephen Schmidt, strategist for George W. Bush, John Mccain, and Arnold Schwarzenegger"

A powerful summation of the case against Trump, based on a close reading of his first year in office...A must-read to understand what we went through in 2017-and where we are going next.

-- "Max Boot, Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow in National Security Studies, Council on Foreign Relations"

An outstanding chronicle of the unending corruption, deceit, and chaos that acts as rocket fuel for the administration, and ego, of President Donald J. Trump. This is a brilliant book...It is also an honest discussion of the gifts a Trump Presidency has unwittingly revealed.

-- "Malcolm Nance, author of The Plot to Hack America"
