She is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, where she specializes in autism. She is the author of two books, several book chapters, and numerous research articles.

About the Author

Dr. Pimm's long experience in the field of child psychology provides a strong foundation on which to build new insights to the understanding of the autism diagnosis. As Psychology Coordinator of the Autism program for a large urban school board, she has had the opportunity to support many new and innovative, intervention strategies within the classroom.
