Mica Pollock is the director of the Center for Research on Educational Equity, Assessment, and Teaching Excellence (CREATE) at the University of California, San Diego. The editor of Everyday Antiracism and the author of Schooltalk: Rethinking What We Say About--and to--Students Every Day (both published by The New Press), she lives in southern California.
