Description

In Sea Between: A Collection, Jessica Cotten gives voice to longing, tenacity, wandering, and hope. When things don’t seem quite right, when you’re far from perfect, when it feels like there’s an entire ocean between you and where you want to be, Sea Between offers solace and companionship.

There is a sense of rescue in this collection of poems and prose, providing relief for those who are tired of busy-ness, division, and deception. You will come away enlivened after spending time with these words and the illustrations that accompany them.

About the Author

Being in nature, getting to know people, taking walks on mostly unpaved roads with her senior pup Pippen, and immersing herself in the goodness of the earth are all sparks for Jessica’s creative process. She has certificates in both Herbalism (yes, she is an herbalist) and Intelligence Collection (no, she’s not a spy), and a B.A. in Spanish and International Relations. In her past life, she was an ESOL teacher, a Spanish teacher, a creative director, and a tea server at a fancy hotel (though not always all at once).

She hopes that her words offer the world a place to breathe and a sense of connection to the deeper meanings of life. Follow her adventures on jessicacotten.com, on Twitter (@jessicacotten), or on Instagram (@jessicathecotten).
