The moment you come across the storefront with the dragon soaring over copper mountains you will be enchanted. Follow the window as it curves towards the welcoming door, slip inside and you're beguiled even more: for not only are you surrounded by a trove of books for every age but you may have arrived just as storytime is starting.

The shelves of 'Rivendell' blue and 'Prague' green shoulder books from ever popular classics like Goodnight Moon, My Father's Dragon and Lord of the Rings to favourite finds like Bark, George, I wished for a Unicorn and Dragonology. Under the gilded domes discover wondrous new titles waiting to be absorbed. Accept the irresistible invitation to wander from the section for babies and toddlers to the domain of fantasy and science fiction. Teens won't feel out of their element either: the 15+ table features Catcher in the Rye, Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

If you're dashing off to a special event, customize a Dragon Wagon or pick up a Flying Dragon Gift Bag wrapped in a delightful cello topped with an exclusively designed gift tag. 'Help Literacy take Flight' Certificates make the perfect gift for the person who has everything. A book donation may be made in honour of a friend to be used by Frontier College which works with community-based groups to set up reading circles and volunteer tutoring programs.

Book lovers will be heartened by the store's fine selection of adult fare from Nancy Pearl's Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment, and Reason to The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay.

Join us in the enchanting atmosphere for an evening Book Party. Gather around the fireplace, sink into the deep moss-coloured sofa and listen to a talk tailored to the ages and interests of your children. The knowledgeable staff is the key to The Flying Dragon Bookshop's ability to recommend the perfect book to transport the reader to a place of wonder - "on the wings of a child's imagination".
