Opened on May 22, 2003, 192 BOOKS is a general-interest bookstore featuring key works of literature and history, art and criticism, the social and natural sciences, travel and children's books, and more.

Our selection includes a wide range of recent titles and past best-sellers, as well as selected rare and out of print books.

In addition, 192 BOOKS regularly presents art exhibitions accompanied by a selection of titles relating to the artists or the theme explored. By tracing these connections between art and literature, we intend to promote a dialogue between readers and art lovers, in the Chelsea community and beyond.

192 BOOKS also hosts an extensive series of readings, signings, group readings and discussions by important writers from here and abroad.
