In 1969, "Betty's Books" opened at 450 Winslow Way with 500 square feet of book selling space determined to carve a literary niche on Bainbridge Island. Now, nearly four decades later, a location two blocks west (157 Winslow Way), and with nearly ten times the space, Eagle Harbor Books is proud to provide quality literature and a place for the community to gather and share their love of words and knowledge.

As Bainbridge Island's full service community bookstore, we have a devoted staff that are all from the local community, and who have as large a stake as you in making the bookstore a place where all in our county can find what interests them. We believe that a bookstore is a place where ideas and ingenuity flourish. We feel privileged to be such a place and will continue to provide our Bainbridge Island and Kitsap communities with the best possible selection of books and quality service in a comfortable, fun atmosphere.
