I haven't spent a ton of time
I haven't spent a ton of time in this bookstore, but what time I've spent I've enjoyed. The staff here pays a lot of attention to picking books that are well-written and the customers will enjoy reading; in fact, many of them are books that the staff themselves are in love with.
This store has one fine
This store has one fine independent movie program, great author meet-and-greet programs, and of course, readings. One distinctive activity this particular bookstore did was to publish, in large poster format, the statement the owner wrote declaring that they refused to hand over their customer list when Homeland Security came knocking, asking for a list of what customers read certain books for "investigative" purposes shortly after September 11, 2001 and the passage of the Patriot Act. The were involved in a lawsuit about this issue and, with the help of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), WON! The case was pretty high-profile in the area and gave me faith and hope that the small businesses and liberty can prevail!
