A terrific bookstore in the middle of Cambridge

The staff are super-helpful, I always find something that intrigues me, and they have great coffee and fresh rolls in the café! If you can find a seat, it's also a cozy place to hang out on occasion.

A nice surprise for Porter Square

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I saw that a bookstore was coming to Porter Square. I don't know why, but I couldn't imagine it'd be worth my time. That opinion changed with my first visit. For a relatively small store in a busy shopping plaza, PSB has a good variety of books, lots of events, and frankly carries more interesting stuff than I'd have expected. Their customer program (free) is a great way of competing, at least a little, with the bargains offered a chain bookstores, and the cafe has solid coffee, tasty scones, and is a good place to settle in for a read, if you don't mind being near studying college kids. I really miss living near this bookstore.

The folks here are lovely.

The folks here are lovely. I've done several events here and they always make us feel welcome. Great selection, too...
