Love Your Local Bookseller

Loyalty to local independent booksellers means they stay in the business of meeting your needs--at RJs, they also offer a full calendar of great events that breathe life into the downtown village district and draw browsers and buyers into all our other independent emporiums as well. (And RJs Cafe sells the best darned cupcakes in the state.)

What Can't They Do?

The staff at R.J. Julia go above and beyond to find the right book or item for people. If a staffer thinks there's one copy of something in a box, under a table, buried beneath tons of other books, he or she will track it down! My husband and I had engagement pictures actually taken in the store. If you go to Connecticut, you MUST stop here.

Favorite store of a voracious teen reader

a family of readers

During trips from Florida to visit family in New England, especially in CT & RI, my daughter has totally fallen for R.J. Julia,
She loses herself in this small & stylish shop with titles she doesn't find elsewhere. And she is a constant reader & widely read teen.
Good work RJJB.
