From high culture to subculture, one of the region's best independent book stores. We've won the local alt-weekly's "Best Of" category 7 of the 8 years we've been in existence. We're located in a lovely, entirely stroll-able, section of St. Louis (the Loop) that is populated with other indies--boutiques, a coffee shop, a baby store, furniture stores, a record store, a smoke shop, bars, restaurants and other fabulous businesses owned by fabulous locals.

We're very picky about what we stock, but we're always listening to our customers and what they're chattering about. We totally eavesdrop and then add those titles into the mix.

We have an art gallery with ever-changing exhibits and we stock cards, journals and plushies from local crafters.

We love our customers. We love our neighborhood. We love our books.

Independent Since the Turn of the Century.

Great Eye

This is a good, albeit small, bookstore in hip Delmar Loop. The selection of titles is diverse, and yet not too precious -- someone has a very good, discriminating, eye for picking the books the store shelves. Staff is very friendly in a space that can feel at times a little cramped; yes, and no seating for the indulgence of readers.

Great Staff, freindly cozy

Great Staff, freindly cozy atmosphere, although, not really anywhere to sit and read.
