If you didn't get enough books over the holidays...

Twenty titles chosen by booksellers for the 2009 Indie Next Lists in hardcover—and now available in paperback format—are highlighted in our end-of-year list Presenting Paperbacks. In fiction, biography & memoir, mystery and nonfiction, you can find several books on which to spend your indie bookstore gift cards!

If that's not enough book coverage, NPR audio stories on IndieBound.org book info pages have recently featured lists of fantastic titles. Don't miss Season's Readings, with recommendations from indie booksellers at Milwaukee's Boswell Book Company, The BookMark in Atlantic Beach, FL, and Portrait of a Bookstore in Studio City, CA.

More excellent recommendations come from librarian Nancy Pearl's 2009 Under-The-Radar Books, featuring the excellent Liar by Justine Larbalestier, the 10 Best Cookbooks of 2009, with the delicious Mastering the Art of Chinese Cooking, Maureen Corrigan's Best Books of 2009, featuring several Indie Next List titles of this year, and Alan Cheuse's Book Picks to Warm a Winter's Night—although American Fantastic Tales is giving me the chills.

Happy reading and Happy New Year!
